Are Hollywood Stars and Starlets the only ones with All the Style in Town? The 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards Re-cap

BEST DRESSED

MARLEE MATLIN

An Oscar-winning Hollywood Diva no less.

Meredith Viera looked awesome in her slinky LBD and Christian Louboutin pumps. A+

Laura Wright looked like a million bucks after winning the award for Outstanding Lead Actress and rightfully so. A+

Arianne Zucker rocked the red carpet in a strapless LBD and statement open-toe strappy heels that worked. She is seen here with fellow Day of Our Lives actor Galen Gerring.

The rest? Well, not so much…

This silhouette was all wrong for Maria Arena Bell (above) and if she was insistent on wearing this dress, then she should have gone down one size. This dress was too big for her.

Heather Tom  looked amazing and happy after winning the award for Best Supporting Actress but if she would have just worn some spanx to smooth of this look, the effect would have been perfect.

Black goes with everything right? Uh..not so much here. Kim Metula almost got it right but the shiny black clutch clashed with her shimmering champagne frock…in an eye-hurting sort of way. Too much shine there, dear.

Christel Khalil looked like she was about to hit the club, either that or the MTV awards or something else but a black tie event. Why would you pair a mini cut-out sleeveless dress with nude open toe strappy stiletto heels? Next time just show up in the buff. The man on her arm Actor Daniel Goddard, out-dressed and outshone her by far.

Tracy E. Bregman in this beautiful dress that looks like it could only either be an Elie Saab or Marchesa (correct us if we’re wrong) nearly knocked it out of the ball park in this glittering combination of sequins and feathers but unfortunately is also nearly washed her out as the colour was far too close to her natural complexion + the chest area was very distracting.

This idea of a slightly below the knee LBD was great for Sherrie Shepherd but the look was executed wrong. Something with sleeves would have been more flattering + the necklace with her hair down like that made her neck area look weird.

Love how Dr. Oz looked on the red carpet, skipping the traditional long black tie and opting for the bow-tie instead but Lisa Oz looked like she was channeling Jennifer Lawrence’s red dress look from the Oscars earlier this year. The silhouette looks almost amazing but the chest area makes it look as if she squeezed into the dress.

Why? Melissa Archer why?

This dress, shorter would have looked fantastic and not to mention “young” on Most Outstanding Young Actress winner Brittany Allen.
