I didn’t like Michelle’s dress last night on the red carpet but I think it grew on me overnight.

The 18th Annual Screen Actor’s Guild Awards were held yesterday January 29, 2012 at the Shrine Auditorium. Winners included “The Help” for best ensemble cast, and “Modern Family” best ensemble cast for television.

Stacked Up: SAG vs. Golden Globes

Angelina is a fashion fiery force!

Statement

I’ve often wondered how much the feedback of a red carpet dress early in awards season affects a star’s choice for their remaining shows. As I compared Golden Globes choices to last night’s SAG red carpet, it would appear that they did. Please note:Although there were a few times I would have liked to call it a draw, ties are boring and I’m too competitive to respect them. In any realm.

Angelina Jolie: Although the Versace fit perfectly, there’s something about a girly blush satin on a badass like Angelina that just doesn’t seem right. A drapey black halter with strong vintage jewelry feels much more natural.

Lea Michele: Although the intricate design of Lea’s Marchesa is interesting to look at, the whole getup needed some serious softening. She did a much better job at the SAG awards with a lighter shade in the same color family and paired…
