She’s wearing the ‘Devidas’ pumps from the new Christian Louboutin collection, I love those Bollywood inspired shoes.
I haven’t seen Ashanti in a while…she looks great and those shoes are just awesome!!!! I need a pair of those lol. 🙂
Last night Tuesday (February 7), singer and actress Ashanti attended the New York premiere of Denzel Washington’s movie Safe House, at the School of Visual Arts Theatre. The film co-stars Ryan Reynolds. Ashanti was all glammed-up on the red carpet in a one shoulder dark rose-colored embellished dress and light nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Ashanti was released from Murder Inc Records a few years ago and formed her own label, Written Entertainment. Ashanti has been in the studio working on her new album with Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne and Game. Her last album, The Declaration came out back in 2008 and sold 89k in the first week. Ashanti’s new single “The Woman You Love” Ft. Busta Rhymes is burning up on radio stations across the country.

Loving the cowboy hats….
Feb. 9, 2012, NEW YORK: Nicholas K‘s Fall 2012 runway show started off New York Fashion week at 9:00 am, located at the Studio.
The show began with a dark urban cowboy theme, with models decked out in native jewelry (designer: Jewelry by Matt) and cowboy/ hats. The dominant color scheme surrounded a neutral palette of black, gray and brown.
Many outfits included loose draping, layering and fringe, and more importantly, everything seemed very wearable.

They all look awesome in red for a good cause too. Fashion For a Cause.
What a better way to start Fashion Week than with the annual Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Show. This year was a bit more special since it celebrated its 10 year anniversary of walking the runways with the iconic “Red Dress” as a symbol of heart disease awareness month.

We called the colour-blocking trend here at Fashionwidget. Awesome styles.
Before I begin on this post, I feel like a fraud. I am not at New York Fashion Week. I did not take these pictures. I am simply witnessing events as they unfold on the internet, and relaying the photographic coverage. The words are my own. The opinions are my own. The passion is my own.

It’s clear from these images that colour blocking is going to make its way into Autumn/Winter this year. But rather than it be pastel colours, which of course would look all out of place whilst the leaves are falling, BCBG’s take on colour blocking is bright and bold. Reds, blacks, neutrals….swishy, swashy, feminine fabrics, fur, leather, pleats…none of these trends are new, of course. But what is new these days? Nothing is new, just reinvented. Made modern. Re-presented with a creative twist from the designer.
