Popular Ghanian actress Jackie Appiah represented her home country of Ghana at the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, wearing a traditional Ghanian print dress known as “kente” designed by one of her favourite African fashion houses; JiL Boutique. She looked liked she picked this dress not only to be patriotic but also for comfort. She could have done with better accessories (the necklace in particular was too busy for an already loud outfit) but all in all she looked beautiful and decent. Ghana reportedly sent fifteen films to the prestigious film festival this year, all of which are being screened out of competition.
