Trends: Where to begin? Since this collection featured numerous budding designers the trends were endless and awe-inspiring. Everything from sea moss and other aquatic inspired embellishments to crocheted skirts, tie-dye, peace-sign accessories, fabric swatches and more…

What Fashionwidget Loved: Everything was awesome and unique in its own way and I wish all these recent graduates all the best in their fashion careers. I loved the groovy outfits which were unexpected and fun.

What Fashionwidget Loved: The sudden use of colour in an otherwise somber collection, the red ensembles were particularly eye-catching. The neon eye-makeup and the gradual transitioning of summer looks into autumn/fall/winter shown on the models wearing summertime clothes underneath winter coats and fall trench coats.

WHAT: China Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2011

From the traditional to the avant garde, from the family friendly styles to the bold fashion statements bursting with lively color and promise to the simply bizarre, we took it all in and after thorough fashion digestion and debate we have come to the conclusion that we loved the showcases by Bobaolon London – 2011 Global Fashion Arts Designing Contest of Academy Elite, Hosa Swimwear, Lan Yu, Cheng Hao, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and Taiwan Shin Chien University Graduates Collection, and the Hampel Award China Young Fashion Design Contest.
