Right now, the title of best dressed at Cannes 2012 is Fan Bingbing’s to lose. From Elie Saab to Christopher Bu and now Valentino, she hasn’t yet met a design that upstaged her signature dramatic flare. With Cannes veteran fashion phenom Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan (rumour has it she’ll be there next week) painfully absent in the initial days of this year’s festival, Fashionwidget has found a new and welcome fashion favourite for the time being.

Today's Premiere Diva: Fan Bingbing wows the crowd in Elie Saab Couture

As an actress, drama is an everyday thing for Fan Bingbing. That is exactly what she contributes to fashion and that is what I love about her red carpet appearances. Seen here at the ‘Rust & Bone’ Cannes Film Festival premiere on Day 2 in Elie Saab Couture lacy cape splendor & dramatic flare to boot, what more could a fashion enthusiast wish for?

Today’s Premiere Diva: Fan Bingbing turns them green with envy in Christopher Bu

Today's Premiere Diva: Fan Bingbing turns them green with envy in Christopher Bu

For me, Fan Bingbing rarely disappoints, infact the Chinese actress/singer is a bonafide fashionista and she definitely brought her fashion “A” game on the red carpet last evening at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ during the opening festivities. In a showstopping ethnic design by Christopher Bu paired with an emerald & gold Elie Saab clutch off-setting her pale complexion & ruby red lips, she was a sight for sore eyes.
