How to do Indian Jewelry and Why – The Kelis Project Part 2 of 4

The Jewellery Brand Ambassador
22k Indian Gold Jewellery
–  in India, this term is used to describe the main model who showcases the jewellery (usually signature pieces) by designer jeweler during bridal season and in campaign ads.  These women are like human mannequins to the jeweler who has selected them to hawk their latest goods (usually due to the popularity of the chosen among other reasons) therefore when you see a woman looking like this in a catalog or at a press event it is acceptable due to the nature of their assignment.

What Exactly is Kelis trying to do? Re: Her Indian Gold Moments

WHO: Kelis

WHAT: Fashion Statements

WHERE: Latest Red Carpet Moments

What is she trying to do? Trend 24 Carat Indian Gold? If so, this is not the way to go about it at all. In India, only two kinds of people dress like this, brides and Rekha. Last we checked, Kelis is neither an Indian bride nor is she evergreen diva, the legend that is Rekha.  We think it’s great that she has come to admire traditional Indian gold jewellery but please do not wear all your pieces at once Kelis. We are cc-ing the Glam Police  and Fashion Police right away.
