Fashionwidget’s Verdict: Models versus Actresses versus Singers versus Designers, every single one of them showed up with their fashionista game face on. We Especially loved the colourful statements made by Doutzen Kroes and Janet Jackson in a two-tone Haider Ackmermann dress. The fashion was simply stellar on the amFAR red carpet this year as expected.  We loved the Jean Fares, the Chanel(s) and the Givenchy Couture(s), we also cherished looks from L.A.M.B (Gwen Stefani was a showstopper in her black halter ensemble) and Atelier Versace. It is with sincere hope that we wonder if it was as much fun for all these divas to strut in their latest designer threads for a worthy cause as it was for us to watch and offer our opinions. We also hope some serious money was raised to benefit AIDS research. Very few people can bring the red carpet to a standstill with their arrival on it and still bring the crowd to their feet when they perform on stage the way former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood can and does at almost every event she graces with her presence.  She showed up at the ACMAs in a purple bejeweled floor-length gown by Jean Fares Couture then got in touch with her inner rock goddess when she hit the stage later (performing with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler) in a sequined silver corset and pleated mini skirt wearing funky cowboy boots and completed the look with hot pink-glam extensions blended into her golden mane. All we can say is wow!
