Kelly Clarkson Covers Lucky Magazine – July 2012

Looking chic in a red leather jacket, maroon top and blue jeans Kelly Clarkson might as well be the poster child for real cool. Having landed her second magazine cover in less than one month, the newly-minted reality show judge (ABC’s Duets) discusses everything from beauty tips, personal style preferences (hint: she loves bandage/body con dresses) to the success of her latest album and yes…those pesky “L” word rumours. Issue is currently on North American newsstands.

N.B. I don’t understand why people insist on obsessing about the sexuality of others. Gay, Straight, Bi-sexual, Trans-sexual, Try-sexual, A-sexual…geez! It’s really none of our business and does not change the cost of fish, gas or your taxes.

Mag Rack: A Visibly Slimmer Kelly Clarkson Covers Redbook but don’t tell her that

Mag Rack: A Visibly Slimmer Kelly Clarkson Covers Redbook but don't tell her that

The premiere American Idol winner says she’s over people (especially fans) commenting about her weight and feels there is so much pressure on young girls these days to look a certain way. She also reflects back on her career since winning American Idol, talks about her new gig as a judge on ABC’s singing competition ‘Duets’ and the new man in her life. Fashionwidget readers can click the cover photo above to read more. The full interview with the Grammy-winning superstar appears in the July 2012 issue of Redbook magazine on newsstands now.

I’ve never taken issue to the way Ms. Clarkson looks because she is first and foremost a singer not a model. Her voice pays her bills. Looking at her on the cover of this magazine, she seems very personable and down-to-earth, flashing her all-American-girl smile in a blue and white floral top paired perfectly with a pair of white skinny jeans and a gold & ebony cuff bangles. No fuss, just like the girl we all know and love to hear belt her heart out on the radio. As long as you are happy and healthy, that’s all that should matter.
