These 5 designers/competition winners will represent Africa at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week presentation during the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week – Spring/Summer 2012 in September and they are:
- South African designers Malcolm KLûK and Christiaan Gabriel Du Toit who are the creative force behind Kluk-CGDT (and who also won The Designer of the Year award)
- Nigerian-British designer Bunmi Olaye’s brand Bunmi Koko
- Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo’s brand Jewel by Lisa
- Nigerian designer Tsemaye Binitie
- Belgian-Ghanian designer Pierre-Antoine Vetorello
