Fashionwidget’s Verdict: Kim Kardashian is very stylish but this look begs the question. Beige can be a very cruel colour on curvy girls as there is nowhere to hide unless you are wearing a beige ball gown. Perhaps, a body sculpting silhouette would have been more flattering (and not to mention forgiving) on the well-endowed Kardashian. The doggy-collar chain in on-trend but I’m not sure I like it with this ensemble and I also would have preferred colourful strappy heels instead of playing it safe in typical noir.

You know, just the other day I was going through some old photos of the annual Cannes Film Festival and I spotted Laetitia Casta in quite few, walking the red carpet for L’Oreal (the official sponsors of the festival). I wondered why we hadn’t seen or heard from her in recent years (busy with family life I’m sure… she has three kids now).
Well, if you are a fan of perhaps the most popular face to grace those famous Guess advertisements then you’re in luck. Luxury designer brand Dolce & Gabbana recently unveiled the 34-year-old model as the new campaign ambassador for their line of perfumes.
Ahead of Cannes and looking as stunning as ever, Gong Li poured into a shimmering silver gown at the opening ceremony for the Festival of Chinese Cinema in Paris, France on May 14th, 2012. The fluid flattering silhouette was perfect for the 46 year old actress who was certainly a showstopper at the event. Also, an ambassador for L’Oreal cosmetics, she is expected to walk the red carpet alongside fellow spokesmodels like Aishwarya Rai, Eva Longoria & Freida Pinto at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival for which the cosmetic giant is the official sponsor. The festivities begin today May 16th and wrap up on the 27th.
Of course the house of Elie Saab is synonymous with opulent elegance. The brand is certainly famous for their intricately designed and tailored gowns but what really sets this design label apart is the ability to continue to “wow” us with show-stopping-bride-pleasing-evening-wearing spectacular gowns each time without being repetitive.
Okay, so technically Freida Pinto is not a Bollywood actress but that has never stopped the media from pegging her as a one despite the fact that she has never appeared in a Bollywood film thus far, so I’m just going to jump on that bandwagon for the sake of this post. I would be more politically correct and say “Indian Actress” but that does not rhyme with my catch phrase.
More importantly, just how tall is Sonam Kapoor? Just look at how she towers above Freida Pinto like a supermodel. Even in what looks like at least three or four-inch heels on Pinto.
Both Pinto and Kapoor were beautifully draped in Chanel at the Paris-Bombay show by Chanel in Paris on Tuesday night, each woman sporting a design from the Spring 2012 Collection.

…when in doubt wear black right and judging from the very many fashion shows singer Ciara has attended within the past week, any respectable fashionista would have been just as flustered trying to keep it funky and fresh for the photographers and the blogosphere. However, so many black outfits (six at last count) had us wondering if Cici was playing too safe by packing so many ensembles in the same colour.
