ELVIRA MISTRESS OF THE DARK?

Fear not SG fans and admirers, all is not lost here. I do love her Brian Atwood gold pumps (this girl has a great arsenal of kicks) and she certainly knows how to accessorize well. I have to say though, this was not one of her fashion triumphs. The top of the dress is busy enough to be a conversation starter so why is the bottom mini/maxi bit so distracting? Perhaps she could have pulled off the look if she had worn the design in a brighter colour (without the train) which would have made it look younger and fresher. Not in love with the hair-do for her either, too matronly. She looks like a high school teacher trying to be edgy at the prom.  C-

    I love this dress on her! i think on anyone else it could have looked vampirish, but she channels edginess and femininity in this dress. love love love. It is a step up from her usual red carpet looks.

      You’re right Bianca, this is a step up from her usual red carpet forays but I have to admit I am not in love with the train part of the dress. Zoe Saldana wore a similar dress last week at the Miami screening of her film Colombiana and I just wanted to yank the train off because the rest of the dress looked beautiful except for the train bit.
