GOOD RIDDANCE!
TOP 5 THINGS WE HOPE GO OUT WITH THE OLD YEAR↓
#1 Ridiculous Red Carpet Poses: Ask me to name names and I will plead the 5th, you and I know who they are, let’s just leave it at that and lunacy should stop after the full moon.
#2 Crossbody Evening Bags: It’s a very lazy look especially on people who aren’t very fashion forward + we would like to see what Sonakshi Sinha can do fashion-wise without those bags.
#3 Ridiculous Hats, Head-Gears and Fascinators: We’re still having nightmares all thanks to Princess Beatrice.
#4 One-Sleeve/One-Strap Dresses: Seriously.
#5 Style-Jacking: The Art of Copying another fashionista’s style to the bone. Let’s resolve to be original.
TOP 5 TRENDS WE HOPE TO SEE MORE OF IN THE NEW YEAR↓
#1 KPOP Fashionistas: 2NE1 successfully breakthrough into US Mainstream.
#2 More Diversity on Magazine Covers: Thandie Newton has never been on the cover of vogue? Yikes.
#3 Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan on the Cannes Film-Festival Red Carpet: The global superstar and L’oreal Ambassador who marked her tenth year on the red carpet at Cannes this year, recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl but we sincerely hope that this does not stop her from completing her annual fashionable pilgrimage to Cannes in 2012.
#4 Elevated Platform Shoes: They’re out but we can’t walk in sky-high heels without ’em.
#5 Style- Growth: Zoë Saldaña & Olivia Palermo blazed the trail for blossoming fashionistas this year, we’ll like to see the trend continue.
On behalf of my entire Fashionwidget team, I say cheers to the dawn of a new horizon. When I started this blog in March of 2011, I had no idea that it would have such an impact on people’s lives nor did I expect to become so dedicated to commenting on fashion and helping people improve their lives in my own little way. I would like to thank all my friends and family members who have served as guest bloggers, commentators, contributors, proof-readers and so much more along the way. I would also like to thank every single person who took the time out to read, comment, subscribe, follow, like, re-tweet, re-blog Fashionwidget content throughout the year, we couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s to 2012, I wish you all the best that it has to bring and may we all stay fashionably connected, healthy, wealthy, stylish, happy and prosperous throughout the year.
